The Chesham group was started in 2009 at The Elgiva Theatre. This is RARE’s oldest group in Buckinghamshire and from the first show, Bugsy Malone, has been very well supported by the local community.

Since then the Chesham area has performed many memorable productions including Les Miserables, Wizard of Oz and Peter Pan.

The Elgiva is a 300 capacity theatre, with a digital cinema and is owned and managed by Chesham Town Council. The Elgiva presents a wide-ranging programme of professional and amateur productions, top comedy, musicals, ballet/dance, one night shows, a professional pantomime, an eclectic range of movies, exhibitions, weddings and other public and private events.
